The additives include the well known defoamers, deaerators, surface control, substrate wetting and pigment dispersing agents as well as hydrophobing co binders and more recently several polyurethane associative rheological modifiers. The speciality resins comprise of pure silicone polymers as well as those modified by polyester, epoxy and polyurethane for a wide range of applications. These are marketed under the trade names Silikophen™, Silikoftal™, Silikopon™ and Silikopur™. Furthermore TEGO offers Tego VariPlus™ co binders based on modified ketone aldehyde resins to increase the hardness, gloss, antiblocking properties and drying speed of inks and coatings. Finally TEGO has in its extensive portfolio Tego AddBond™ polymers based on speciality polyester resins to enhance adhesion to various substrates including metals and plastics and to improve intercoat adhesion.
